Opportunities For Entrepreneurs

To submit an application, first register and create a login name and password. Select a login name that is easy to remember, such as your email or name. Please keep a record of your login name. Housatonic Student Entrepreneur Showcase Draft a proposal

The event will take place on Tuesday, November 16 in Beacon Hall, 3rd Floor, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.  You will have 6 feet of linear table space. For Housatonic students only.

Connecticut Elevator Pitch Olympics Fall 2021 Draft a proposal

Applications due November 23.  On November 30, finalists will be invited to present live on December 3.  

Companies must be owned and conceived by a Connecticut college or high school student. Businesses with sales over $10,000 are ineligible. Entrants who won more than $500 in Entrepreneurship Foundation competitions during prior 18 months are ineligible.

In this application you will enter a link to a 60-sec oral presentation (without audiovisuals) that is uploaded to YouTube.  Do NOT password protect. Say your name at beginning, distinctly, so judges know who you are.

Please include a permanent mailing address in PROFILE for us to mail your winnings.

Connecticut Community College Elevator Pitch - Fall 2021 Draft a proposal

In this application you will be asked to enter a link to your 30-60 sec oral presentation (without audiovisuals) that you have uploaded to YouTube.  Do NOT password protect.

Hint: say your name at beginning, slowly and distinctly, to make it easier for judges to know which video is yours.

ELIGIBILITY: Community College student currently enrolled in Connecticut

CATEGORIES: Pre-revenue and Post-revenue (>$10,000 in sales)

FINALS: Thursday, November 4,  6:30 - 8:30 pm via Zoom   

Finalists will give their pitch live. No audiovisuals permitted, but you can have a prop, such as a prototype or sample product.  Judges will ask questions.

New Product Competition Draft a proposal

Eligibility.  Connecticut residents or students at Connecticut schools. Products not be in the marketplace, other than on a limited basis for testing.

On Friday, November 26, finalists will receive an invite to the finals: November 30 from 6 pm to 8 pm via Zoom.  Finalists will have the opportunity to give a 3-minute PowerPoint presentation and answer questions from the judges about plans to commercialize.
